Groups that present at Concentric Circles are either open to the public or occasionally take new members and/or offer instruction. Concentric Circles is a wonderful opportunity to sample the Pagan possibilities in our broader Washington community!
This year also features our "Rawrin' 20s!" silent auction, running from 1-7pm. Show your support for OLOTEAS by bidding on a selection of fantastic items donated by our community!

Workshop/ Ritual Blurbs (Chronological)
1:00 – 1:30 Doors open, Opening Circle (Stone Circle)
OLOTEAS
Join us for site and schedule orientation, and a ritual to welcome and create sacred space to hold the day.
1:30 – 2:30 Workshop: “THE FIVE C's: Clearing, Casting, Consecrating, Calling, and Crystallization” (Library)
Janice Van Cleve, Women of the Goddess Circle
A typical Pagan ritual is like a cauldron in which we cook the soup of magic. The Five C's is how we light the fire to get the cauldron boiling. In this workshop we will explore and explain Clearing, Casting, Consecrating, Calling, and Crystallization.
1:30 – 3:00 Workshop: “Applying Timeline Magic to Personal Protection” (Blockhouse)
Rich, Sean Ciall Sword Circle
There are many aspects to protecting oneself, both physically and psychically. Learning to manage Time (Time Dilation) and Space (Psychogeography) in a conflict is often the key to staying safe. Psychogeography is about understanding the spatial relationship between two or more people and the energy/information being shared between them. Time Dilation (i.e. the manipulation of time and the perception of time for yourself and others) is one of the most complex self-defense methods but can be highly effective under the right conditions. Ultimately, Time Dilation and Psychogeography can be used to de-escalate hostility and protect yourself from malicious threats. We in Sean Ciall Sword Circle train in these techniques to keep ourselves and our training partners safe when doing choreographed ritual fights. This workshop will include a guided visualization to help demonstrate how the skills can be used to manage a conflict.
2:30 – 4:00 Workshop: “The Pagan Origins of Mardi Gras: A Historical & Cultural Perspective” (Library)
Rev. Katherine Bonnabel, Sacred Well Ministries
Mardi Gras falls on February 25th this year. Have you ever wondered about the history behind the masks, beads, and the legendary debauchery? A native of New Orleans, Rev. Kathi will share a behind-the-scenes perspective on this popular seasonal festival. Laizzez Les Bon Temps Rouler!
3:00 – 4:30 Workshop: “Pagan in a Mundane World” (Blockhouse)
Lawrence Lerner, President, Puget Sound Pagan Pride
Part workshop, part roundtable discussions. Hear from multiple Pagans leaders who are "out and about" in the mundane world. Some thoughts of staying in and out of the broom closet, one foot in, or completely in. You'll hear from several leaders in the group who are members of the larger Pagan community as well as executives, teachers, and entrepreneurs in the mundane world.
4:00 – 5:00 Growing Up Pagan Class: “Knot Magick” (Kids' Room)
Magickal Miscreants
At this month's Growing Up Pagan we will be learning about and practicing knot magick.
4:00 – 5:00 Ritual: “Introduction and a Blót for the Coming of Spring” (Stone Circle)
Victoria (TAC North Pacific Ambassador), The Asatru Community, Inc.
Have you ever been curious how Ásatrúar holds blóts? Would you like to know what these terms mean? We will first run a quick presentation as an introduction to TAC as well as Ásatrú/Norse Paganism in general. We'll go over terms and the general inclusive outlook of TAC. We will then hold a Blót to honor the Gods/Goddess, the vættir, and the ancestors for the renewing of ourselves and our efforts as we welcome the coming of spring. We made it through the long winter and look to propel our efforts to the new year!
4:00 – 5:00 Workshop: “Thelema in Theory and Practice” (Library)
Jim, Horizon OTO
In this presentation, Jim will give an overview of the spiritual path of Thelema, including an account of its basic concepts and practices. Special emphasis will be on how these concept and practices are used in Ordo Templi Orientis. There will also be a demonstration of some basic ritual techniques as well as an opportunity at the end for questions and answers.
5:00 – 6:00 Young Adult and Occult: “Herbal Practice” (Blockhouse)
Magickal Miscreants
At this month's Young Adult and Occult we will be continuing our offsite workshop from February 8th with a discussion group about the basics of herbal practice for health and magick.
5:00 – 6:00 Workshop: “Pagan Leadership & the Great Work” (Library)
Aquarian Tabernacle Church (ATC)
The path to leadership, the fun and frills as well as the down and dirty. What does one have to do to rise to leadership and stay there? What do leaders expect out of peers and how to work with other leaders? What do community members expect out of those who present themselves as leaders? What defines the role of High Priestess? How are covens structured and what are the jobs of the High Priest and High Priestess?
6:00 – 7:00 Brown-Bag Dinner (Living Room) & Eat and Greet (Library)
This is designated time to gather with others and eat your own brown-bag dinner. Bring your dinner to the Library for a casual networking session during dinner time to connect with others and build community. Reminders: Due to limited refrigerator space, please bring non-perishable food, or plan to store food in your own cooler in your vehicle. Please note you cannot prepare meat on kitchen counters (pre-cooked meat ok). No alcohol on site.
7:00 – 8:00 Ritual: “Winter Gifts” (Stone Circle)
Stephanie, OLOTEAS
Spring is just around the corner, and something to look forward to! It is also worthwhile to look back and reflect on what the winter gives us, individually and as a community, as the season wanes and the light grows.
8:00 – 9:30 Workshop: “February Song Circle Monthly Gathering” (Library)
Sean Ciall Song Circle
Join Song Circle Lead Tasha Zebrowan and the members of Cascadian Sean Ciall for a taste of what our typical monthly gatherings are like. This month we will be learning drum and vocal parts for Heather Dale’s “The Morrigan,” a hymn to one of Sean Ciall’s favorite goddesses. We will also review (or teach for the first time for some) four-part harmonies for the chorus of “Chi Mi Na Morbheanna,” a parting song used in many Sean Ciall rituals. Musicians of all skill levels welcome!
8:00 – 10:00 Workshop: “The Pagan Alchemist” (Blockhouse)
Robert Allen Bartlett, Spagyricus School of Alchemy
An introduction to the basic principles of Alchemy from a non-Judeo-Christian perspective. How to prepare Alchemical products that can enhance magickal works.
9:30-10:30 Workshop: “Intro to Palmistry” (Library)
C.G. Dahlin
This presentation/workshop will give some of the fundamentals of how to read palms. The history of, and the connections to astrology and tarot will be included. This meeting will give a rough overview of all the different characteristics and archetypal rulers expressed by the shape and lines of our hands. Participants will benefit from a deeper understanding of the holistic nature of ancient occult knowledge, and will better be able to discern their own path, and hint toward the ever moving question of: Knowing Thyself.
10:30 – 10:45 Closing Circle (Stone Circle)

Join us for a ritual of thanksgiving for the sacred space we’ve held all day.

What to Bring:
Feel free to bring event or info flyers/pamphlets and set them out - there will be a space.
Food: Please bring your own brown-bag dinner. Due to extremely limited refrigerator space, if you need to keep your food cold, please plan to store in your own cooler kept in your own vehicles. But also feel free to bring non-perishable snack food or desserts to set out and share on the kitchen counter. If you can bring your own plate, cup, and utensils it will help with clean up (as all on-site tableware needs to be sanitized in the dishwasher before we can leave). No meat may be prepared on the kitchen surfaces (pre-cooked meat is acceptable). No alcohol or other intoxicants are allowed at OLOTEAS events.
You might also want to bring a towel for pool/hot tub use (note: the pool area is clothing-optional). A towel can be rented from the Longhouse for $1.
Shoes cannot be worn inside, so please wear a pair that can be slipped easily on and off.
Some rituals will be outside, regardless of weather, so please bring layered clothing for colder/wetter weather if desired.
Also, please note that, due to allergy and wildlife concerns, no pets are allowed on site (except service animals).
Registration:
Please check in at the front door when you arrive on-site. We ask all those who are able to make a money donation when they come to events (for Concentric Circles suggested donation for ages 13 and up is $15).
A Note About Children:
This site features a swimming pool, hot tub, and many natural outside features that pose potential risks for unattended children; therefore, children younger than the age of 13 MUST be under adult supervision at ALL times during this event. With respect to the pool, an individual adult may be responsible FOR NO MORE THAN 3 CHILDREN (those under 13). Most events offer a kids' class or activity for younger kids and a Young Adult and Occult discussion group (ages 15-25). There are also some games and craft supplies available.
A Note About Noise at the Longhouse:
The Longhouse requires that participants keep the noise level very low after 10:00 PM. Loud noise includes car alarms (so make sure your alarm is turned off), car muffler issues or backfiring (if your vehicle has issues, please park near the outdoor "Registration" booth if that space is open), loud motorcycle engines (again, please park near the outdoor "Registration" booth if possible), drumming or other music (if it continues long after ritual, please stop and ask a staff member if there is a space indoors where drumming or other music could continue until 10:00 PM), and loud talking in the parking lot (voices carry over to the neighbors’ property). Also, please be considerate by entering and exiting the site quietly.
A Note About Parking and Carpooling:
Parking availability at the Longhouse is limited – please carpool if at all possible. Park near the outdoor "Registration" booth or along the stretch of the driveway near the outdoor kitchen and stage areas. Please park close to the adjacent vehicle, but be considerate of vehicles displaying disability license plates or signs. Once at the site, due to limited space and potential number of participants, we advise that folks leave most personal belongings in their vehicles. There is no public transit option for the Longhouse, so if you are able to offer a ride or are looking for one, please feel free to post ride availability or requests to the OLOTEAS community email list or our Facebook group page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/oloteas/).
Directions:
Take 520 eastbound to the Redmond Way/Fall City (WA 202) Exit. Turn right at the light at the end of the off ramp. Go approximately 5 miles on Redmond-Fall City Road. Driveway is on the right, 23301 (directly across from Guardwell Storage). If you pass Albertson's, you have gone about 100 yards too far. When you first pull into the drive you should immediately see a large wooden sign that says The Longhouse; if you don’t you are in the neighbors’ drive.
