Young Adult & Occult is a space for Pagans in their late teens and early twenties (roughly 15-25) to build community and learn together that is held monthly at OLOTEAS events (and sometimes offsite). At this month's Young Adult & Occult: We will discuss the differences and overlap between magic and religion, and how we use them.

4:00 pm: Kids' Activity: Tools for Interacting with Deities (with the Magickal Miscreants)
This is a series of classes about what it means to grow up Pagan – taught by Pagan kids, for Pagan kids. We are all young adults who grew up in Pagan families, and these classes draw on our personal experiences of what we wish we had known growing up and the kids’ own questions about what it means to be Pagan. At this month's Growing Up Pagan: We'll learn about votives and other tools for interacting with deities.

4:00 pm: Workshop: The Divine Self (with Stephanie)
Dive deep into the Beltaine Mystery in this workshop and meditation. Spoiler alert: It's not (just) about sex and fertility! Examining Beltaine from different angles, we can discover how it can be a healing communion with All Things, relevant to all genders and any relationship status.

5:30 pm: Potluck -- please bring your own feast gear
We encourage you to bring your own feast gear (plate, utensils, cup) to avoid the use of disposable dinnerware.

6:30 pm: Newcomers' Orientation (with Laura)
New to Pagan events or to OLOTEAS? Come to the newcomers' discussion! We'll give you the basics of what you should know, answer any questions you have, and go over more info about what to expect from our rituals and events.

7:00 pm: Pre-Ritual Discussion, followed by Ritual: Hope and Union (with Stephanie)
Join us for a participatory journey to recognize your individual Divine self and the collective renewal of life that comes every Spring! Come ready to drum and dance (bring your drums if you have them!), weave the May Pole, and celebrate our beautiful community. Festive attire is encouraged, but not required.

What to Bring to the Longhouse:
Please bring a potluck dish to share. No meat may be prepared on the kitchen surfaces (pre-cooked meat is acceptable). We encourage you to bring your own feast gear (plate, utensils, cup) -- this avoids the use of disposable dinnerware. No alcohol or other intoxicants are allowed at OLOTEAS events. Bring a towel for pool/hot tub use. The Longhouse no longer loans out towels -- please bring your own. (Note: the pool area is clothing-optional.) Shoes cannot be worn indoors, so please wear a pair that can be slipped easily on and off. We strive to do the main ritual outside, regardless of weather, so please bring layered clothing for colder/wetter weather if desired. Feel free to bring and play your drums or other instruments. Also, please note that, due to allergy and wildlife concerns, no pets are allowed on site (except service animals).

Registration:
Please check in at the front door when you arrive on-site. We are sustained, and do our part to sustain our community and the wider world, through a multidirectional flow of resource contributions. These contributions include but are not limited to money, skill, talent, and material goods. We ask all those who are able to make a money donation when they come to events (usually $10 for ages 13 and up, and we're not requesting donations for ages 12 and under). This is a request, no one ever has or ever will be turned away from a regular OLOTEAS event for lack of funds, but we do sincerely ask for it if you are able.

A Note About Children:
This site features a swimming pool, hot tub, and many natural outside features that pose potential risks for unattended children. Parents are responsible for the safety and behavior of their children at OLOTEAS events. All children under 13 must be supervised at ALL times. If outdoors, or in the pool area, children must be within line-of-site of their parent or caregiver. In the pool area, an individual adult may be responsible FOR NO MORE THAN 3 CHILDREN (those under 13). Most events offer a kids' class or activity for younger kids and a Young Adult & Occult discussion group (ages 15-25). There are also some games and craft supplies available. 

A Note About Parking and Carpooling:
Parking availability at the Longhouse is limited – please carpool if at all possible. Park near the outdoor "Registration" booth or along the stretch of the driveway near the outdoor kitchen and stage areas. Please park close to the adjacent vehicle, but be considerate of vehicles displaying disability license plates or signs. Once at the site, due to limited space, we advise that folks leave most personal belongings in their vehicles. There is no public transit option for the Longhouse, so if you are able to offer a ride or are looking for one, please feel free to post ride availability or requests to the OLOTEAS community email list or our Facebook group page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/oloteas/).

A Note About the OLOTEAS Parents, Etc. Facebook group:
For the parents in our community, if you are not already a member, you may be interested in joining the OLOTEAS Parents, Etc. group, where we will be sharing resources for education and entertainment for the kiddos who are stuck at home. This group is ONLY for family members of children in the OLOTEAS community, and is a private group. To join, please send a friend request to the OLOTEAS Pastor FB account (not the FB group), and also send a DM requesting membership. You will then receive an invitation to join the group.

Take 520 eastbound to the Redmond Way/Fall City (WA 202) Exit. Turn right at the light at the end of the off ramp. Go approximately 5 miles on Redmond-Fall City Road. Driveway is on the right, 23301 (directly across from SmartStop Self Storage). If you pass Albertson's, you have gone about 100 yards too far. When you first pull into the drive you should immediately see a large wooden sign that says The Longhouse; if you don’t you are in the neighbors’ drive.

Bags will be provided for kids to collect eggs, but families are welcome to bring their own baskets. Eggs with non-candy fillings will be available for children with dietary restrictions.

Come enjoy some CommuniTea! Take some time to relax and chat with tea and treats as we get to know each other better, and think about how to make our community stronger. Tea and treats provided, bring your ideas and input about how OLOTEAS can help create the world we want to live in.

Join us for a day of rituals, workshops, networking, and celebration!

Saturday, February 24, 2024 —​ 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm 
In person at the Longhouse in Redmond (see directions below)

Founded in 1998, Concentric Circles is an annual, all-day, public event where OLOTEAS invites other regional Pagan groups to present workshops and rituals. Concentric Circles is a wonderful opportunity to sample the Pagan possibilities in our broader regional community.

For those of you who have not attended before, the Longhouse site is a large acreage on a wetlands with a main house, stone circle, outbuildings, and a heated pool and hot tub. The event includes rituals, workshops, and other presentations from various local Pagan groups and traditions. It's always a wonderful day of learning, worship, and community building!

OLOTEAS is an inclusive, welcoming, family-friendly, queer-and-trans-friendly, and anti-racist space.

• Site donation: For Concentric Circles, requested donation is $15 for each person 13 years and older, none requested for 12 and under, and waived if you are a ritualist or presenter. Thank you!
• Pool and hot tub are open. The pool area is clothing-optional. Please bring your own towels, the Longhouse can no longer provide them. 
• Please bring food for yourself or cash for Karol -- There will NOT be a potluck during Concentric Circles. 
  Albertson's and a Subway sandwich shop are across the street and Karol’s Kitchen will be open between 4 pm and 7 pm (see note below). There is a one-hour dinner break in the schedule, but please eat when you like. Refrigerator available on the back porch of the kitchen – you may want to write your name on your food. Please note you cannot prepare meat on kitchen counters (pre-cooked meat ok). No alcohol on site. 
• Karol’s Kitchen is coming to Concentric Circles! Between 4 pm and 7 pm, Karol will be grilling and selling burgers for $10 cash ($10 bills preferred, if possible). Location: outside, off the pool area, facing the Blockhouse. Note: no food is allowed in the pool area. 
• Note earlier time: Doors open with Opening Circle at 1pm.

A Healing Temple is open in the Shrine building from 2 pm – 8:30 pm. This is space available for rest, refreshment, and calm throughout the event.

The Circle of Coll Seed Group offers a Druidic Triskelion Ritual. This ritual is blessings of the Land, Sea and Sky with seeds of healing, growth and wisdom, as we emerge from Winter.

Did God create us in his image, or did we create him in our image? And who says “he” is a he? Janice Van Cleve, author of Gods, Gaps, and Gravity, explores this and other questions about the nature of deity and how we relate to it – or not.

Explore how your Zodiacal Sign, your planets, and your magical system of correspondences can incorporate music. Find out how and why musical keys were already a part of the Western Esoteric Tradition. Demonstrations of the different notes on the 12-tone scale and how they relate to the 12 Zodiacs will be offered. 

3:00 – 4:00 Ritual: Sylvan Tradition Ritual (Stone Circle)

We are showcasing a traditional ritual in the Sylvan Tradition. The Sylvan Tradition was founded in California in the 1970s before making its way up the coast to Washington. Sylvan Tradition is its own form of witchcraft, though one may see a combination of influences from Wicca, Druidism, and Feri Tradition practices. As a Tradition, each coven meets regularly at full moons, dark moons, and the eight sabbats. Our wish today is to share with you what our style of witchcraft looks like and how our particular coven practices. We hope to see you in circle! Blessed Be!

Ethics in Pagan culture is perhaps the defining difference between ourselves and other faiths. Ethics form the backbone of our spiritual practice, shaping our actions and guiding our decisions. Entelecheia, Horizon Ordo Templi Orientis  
The religion known as Thelema was founded in 1904 by the English poet and mystic Aleister Crowley (1875 – 1947), who is regarded as its prophet. This presentation provides an overview of Thelema, its principles, its worldview, and its main spiritual techniques of magick and yoga. Growing Up Pagan is a series of kids’ classes taught by second-generation Pagans, for kids growing up in the Pagan community. This month we will be learning about and making magical jewelry and charms.

Sean Ciall will be hosting their annual Fires of Brigid Ritual as a public ritual where the participants will come together in song and dance to travel from this world into the otherworld, where they will come face to face with Lady Brigid and An Morrigan. They will finish the ritual, after they have left behind that which they need to drop, and put forth that which they wish to grow, forged anew by Lady Brigid, and tempered by An Morrigan.

We encourage you to bring your own feast gear (plate, utensils, cup) -- this avoids the use of disposable dinnerware. No alcohol or other intoxicants are allowed at OLOTEAS events. Bring a towel for pool/hot tub use. The Longhouse no longer loans out towels -- please bring your own. (Note: the pool area is clothing-optional.) Shoes cannot be worn indoors, so please wear a pair that can be slipped easily on and off. Please bring layered clothing for colder/wetter weather if desired. Also, please note that, due to allergy and wildlife concerns, no pets are allowed on site (except service animals).

This site features a swimming pool, hot tub, and many natural outside features that pose potential risks for unattended children. Parents are responsible for the safety and behavior of their children at OLOTEAS events. All children under 13 must be supervised at ALL times. If outdoors, or in the pool area, children must be within line-of-site of their parent or caregiver. In the pool area, an individual adult may be responsible FOR NO MORE THAN 3 CHILDREN (those under 13). Most events offer a kids' class or activity for younger kids and a Young Adult & Occult discussion group (ages 15-25). There are also some games and craft supplies available. 

A Note About Parking and Carpooling:
Parking availability at the Longhouse is limited – please carpool if at all possible. Park near the outdoor "Registration" booth or along the stretch of the driveway near the outdoor kitchen and stage areas. Please park close to the adjacent vehicle, but be considerate of vehicles displaying disability license plates or signs. Once at the site, due to limited space, we advise that folks leave most personal belongings in their vehicles. There is no public transit option for the Longhouse, so if you are able to offer a ride or are looking for one, please feel free to post ride availability or requests to the OLOTEAS community email list or our Facebook group page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/oloteas/).

Young Adult & Occult is a space for Pagans in their late teens and early twenties (roughly 15-25) to build community and learn together that is held monthly at OLOTEAS events (and sometimes offsite). At this month's Young Adult & Occult: We will have our yearly community meeting, where participants will be able to give feedback and input on what YA&O discussions look like going forward.

4:00 Kids' Activity: Pagan Winter Deities (with the Magickal Miscreants)
This is a series of classes about what it means to grow up Pagan – taught by Pagan kids, for Pagan kids. We are all young adults who grew up in Pagan families, and these classes draw on our personal experiences of what we wish we had known growing up and the kids’ own questions about what it means to be Pagan. At this month's Growing Up Pagan: We will learn about different Pagan winter deities.

4:00 pm: Workshop: Pagan 101: Magickal Accessories and Jewelries (with Tarrent)
This workshop will be a very basic overview and introduction to magickal and spiritual accessories and what that means in Pagan spaces. We will discuss the various applications of jewelry and/or accessories including Amulets, Talismans, Prayer Beads, Veiling, and more! If times allows, we will do a brief example of setting intention into an accessory or item, and charging both initially and with continued use.

6:30 pm: Newcomers' Orientation (with Laura)

The light of the year returns, the full moon flares, but then dims and the world seems to dip into darkness again. The post-holiday lull, the return to school rush, the new year's resolutions, the pile up of work, and current events... sometimes it feels like it's all too much. In this self-care ritual, we will look for something that we can set aside for a time--not banish or get rid of, but something we can come back to--like the moon fading, resting, then growing back to fullness.

All event: Bring-Your-Own Picnic
Please bring your own picnic snacks or lunch. There will be some individually wrapped snacks to share. Note that there are no food storage or preparation facilities at the park, so you will need to bring coolers, feast gear, and whatever else is needed to store and eat your food. 

12:15–1:15 pm: Young Adult & Occult Discussion Group: Interacting with Deities
Young Adult & Occult is a space for Pagans in their late teens and early twenties (roughly 15-25) to build community and learn together that is held monthly at OLOTEAS events (and sometimes offsite). At this month's Young Adult & Occult: We will have a group discussion about the different ways that we can interact with deities.

1:15–2:00 pm Workshop: Animism and Sense of Place in a Challenging World (with Stephanie)
You aren't alone. Ever. Really. Is that comforting, or terrifying? Let's talk about it. This workshop examines our relationships with Place, with other-than-humans, with ourselves, and with each other. In just one hour! But hopefully also for many years to come.

1:15–2:00 pm Growing Up Pagan: Kids' Activity: Sound Magic (with the Magickal Miscreants)
This is a series of classes about what it means to grow up Pagan – taught by Pagan kids, for Pagan kids. We are all young adults who grew up in Pagan families, and these classes draw on our personal experiences of what we wish we had known growing up and the kids’ own questions about what it means to be Pagan. At this month's Growing Up Pagan: We will learn about the different ways we can use sound when doing magic.

2:00–2:30 pm Picnic Break

2:30–3:30 pm Pre-Ritual Discussion, followed by Ritual: Children of Diaspora (with Robert)
We are the children of many diaspora. How do we connect to the energies of our ancestors and our homes? Can nomads ever be fully connected to a "sacred space"? Join us Saturday for a ritual exploration, of human connection with the earth through generations of migration.

What to Bring:
Blankets for the lawn and camping chairs if you'd like seating. Picnic dinner for yourself, plenty to drink (water etc. - no alcohol allowed on site), and your own feastgear (plate, cup, utensils). Dress for the weather with extra layers and/or sunscreen as necessary. Feel free to bring and play your drums or other acoustic instruments. Pets must be leashed and kept away from food.

A Note About Parking and Carpooling:
There is limited parking at this site – please carpool if at all possible. Parking in the lots is recommended – cars parked illegally in the surrounding neighborhood may be towed.
The park is served by the Metro Transit C Line from downtown Seattle, which runs frequently.

Join us for 5,000 years of Egyptian history and mythology in 60 minutes or so.
Strongly recommended for those attending the main ritual.

5:30 pm: Potluck -- please bring your own feast gear
We encourage you to bring your own feast gear (plate, utensils, cup) to avoid the use of disposable dinnerware.

6:30 pm: Newcomers' Orientation (with Laura)
New to Pagan events or to OLOTEAS? Come to the newcomers' discussion! We'll give you the basics of what you should know, answer any questions you have, and go over more info about what to expect from our rituals and events.

7:00 pm: Pre-Ritual Discussion, followed by Ritual: Amon Ra Superstar (with Robert)
Join OLOTEAS this solstice Saturday in welcoming back the fabulous sun god Ra, just returning from his winter gig in the southlands. No previous experience in Egyptian and Khemetic ritual necessary, but the related workshop at 4pm will probably be helpful.

What to Bring to the Longhouse:
Please bring a potluck dish to share. No meat may be prepared on the kitchen surfaces (pre-cooked meat is acceptable). We encourage you to bring your own feast gear (plate, utensils, cup) -- this avoids the use of disposable dinnerware. No alcohol or other intoxicants are allowed at OLOTEAS events. Bring a towel for pool/hot tub use. The Longhouse no longer loans out towels -- please bring your own. (Note: the pool area is clothing-optional.) Shoes cannot be worn indoors, so please wear a pair that can be slipped easily on and off. We strive to do the main ritual outside, regardless of weather, so please bring layered clothing for colder/wetter weather if desired. Feel free to bring and play your drums or other instruments. Also, please note that, due to allergy and wildlife concerns, no pets are allowed on site (except service animals).

Registration:
Please check in at the front door when you arrive on-site. We are sustained, and do our part to sustain our community and the wider world, through a multidirectional flow of resource contributions. These contributions include but are not limited to money, skill, talent, and material goods. We ask all those who are able to make a money donation when they come to events (usually $10 for ages 13 and up, and we're not requesting donations for ages 12 and under). This is a request, no one ever has or ever will be turned away from a regular OLOTEAS event for lack of funds, but we do sincerely ask for it if you are able.

A Note About Children:
This site features a swimming pool, hot tub, and many natural outside features that pose potential risks for unattended children; therefore, children younger than the age of 13 MUST be under adult supervision at ALL times during this event. With respect to the pool, an individual adult may be responsible FOR NO MORE THAN 3 CHILDREN (those under 13). Most events offer a kids' class or activity for younger kids and a Young Adult & Occult discussion group (ages 15-25). There are also some games and craft supplies available.

A Note About Parking and Carpooling:
Parking availability at the Longhouse is limited – please carpool if at all possible. Park near the outdoor "Registration" booth or along the stretch of the driveway near the outdoor kitchen and stage areas. Please park close to the adjacent vehicle, but be considerate of vehicles displaying disability license plates or signs. Once at the site, due to limited space, we advise that folks leave most personal belongings in their vehicles. There is no public transit option for the Longhouse, so if you are able to offer a ride or are looking for one, please feel free to post ride availability or requests to the OLOTEAS community email list or our Facebook group page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/oloteas/).

A Note About the OLOTEAS Parents, Etc. Facebook group:
For the parents in our community, if you are not already a member, you may be interested in joining the OLOTEAS Parents, Etc. group, where we will be sharing resources for education and entertainment for the kiddos who are stuck at home. This group is ONLY for family members of children in the OLOTEAS community, and is a private group. To join, please send a friend request to the OLOTEAS Pastor FB account (not the FB group), and also send a DM requesting membership. You will then receive an invitation to join the group.

Directions to the Longhouse:
Take 520 eastbound to the Redmond Way/Fall City (WA 202) Exit. Turn right at the light at the end of the off ramp. Go approximately 5 miles on Redmond-Fall City Road. Driveway is on the right, 23301 (directly across from SmartStop Self Storage). If you pass Albertson's, you have gone about 100 yards too far. When you first pull into the drive you should immediately see a large wooden sign that says The Longhouse; if you don’t you are in the neighbors’ drive.
