​Pre-Ritual Discussion:
  • This is an experiment, where we all share the Ritual script together as we move through the Ritual
  • We are at the time of Solstice, of balance, of introspection, of transition – The working tonight will two-fold. 
    In 2 different rounds, I will call on you. Each person I will call on 3 times per round. On the first round, we will name what we bind and leave behind in the Old Year. On the second round, we will name that which we create and bring into the New Year. 
    -- If     I don't hear you when I call on you, I'll give you a moment to set your intentions to yourself or silently.
  • Blue, black, and green text in the script...
    Blue are lines that I will say as the Priestex.
    Green are lines for us to say together.
    Black are stage directions. 
    (If you are color blind, I've tried to give enough context with each of lines, so you are able to follow...)
  • May we please have 4, 2, or 1 volunteer to call and release the Quarters: North, East, South, West.
    I will queue each time when North should start.

Grounding...
​Everyone close your eyes and take a deep breath… and hold… and let it out…  Now, through your nose, again take a breath… and hold… and let it out through your mouth… and one more… in through your nose… and hold… and out…. good…    

Now, feel the solidity that you are connected to down through your feet and the floor into the Earth… 
Feel the air around you on your skin, 
the Fire in your own Spirit, 
​the Water in your own blood…  
Take one more deep breath, and hold, and let it out… and open your eyes.


​Let's begin with a song for the Solstice – While muted, please feel free to sing along! :)

We are at the time of Solstice, of balance, of introspection, of transition
I will now cast the Circle...

With Earth that is the body of the Mother 
With Air that is our Mother’s sacred breath 
With Fire that is the burning soul of the Mother  
And with Water that is our Mother’s rushing blood –  
The circle is cast 
Let all within know peace and Love 
​For Love is the law and Love is our bond

May your stability aid us in our Workings…

We invite your presence and ask your blessings –
May your inspiration aid us in our Workings…


Call South:

Elements and Spirits of the South –
We invite your presence and ask your blessings –
May your passion aid us in our Workings…


Call West:

Elements and Spirits of the West –
We invite your presence and ask your blessings –
May your conviction aid us in our Workings…


Fifth element of Spirit,
We ask you to join with us – in our work of release and continuing manifestation –
Be present in our circle and our being,
Be with us this night!

Working:
We are at the time of Solstice, of balance, of introspection, of transition. 
We all now stand present on the line between past and future, on the line between the Old Year and the New.
For some aspects of our lives, this line shall not be crossed. 

I Will to release...

What are you releasing as we move into the New Year?

Priestex calls on each person in turn, and they give their answers...
We continue until each person has 3 times to state what they are releasing.

[Mute All]

We will now bind that which will remain behind in the Old Year –  
​Say this with me, as you focus on your intent...
In this place & in this time,
Here and Now, I mark the line --
Essence by my Will now caught,
I move forward, this does not.


We stand present on the line between past and future, between the Old Year and the New. 
For some aspects of our lives, this will be a starting line.
