What is Sean Ciall?
The Sean Ciall tradition emerged as part of the European NeoPagan revival of the late 18th century, alongside many other quasi Druidic sects. "Sean Ciall" is, literally, then "Old Way” in Gallic, but it is also a new face of magick . We believe change is the very nature of magick , and we in Sean Ciall believe in studying the old magicks while continuing to contribute to the evolution of new magickal thought. Sean Ciall Sword Circle focuses on providing security and protection (both physical & magical) to the magical community.
What is the Healing Temple?
The Healing Temple is a space offered for rest, refreshment, self-care, and contemplation. Throughout the festival there will be light refreshments available at the Healing Temple (these will be secured at night to prevent attracting wildlife). After Saturday evening's ritual, the Healing Temple will be staffed by Priestesses, Priests, and Priestexes who are available to help with grounding and centering, lend a listening ear, and help with finding resources to address life’s challenges.

PROGRAM DETAILS and DESCRIPTIONS
Saturday, July 23
9:00 AM Saturday Morning Coffee Klatch (with Stephanie)
What's on your mind? Let's gather for a casual conversation about life, the universe, and everything. Bring your favorite breakfast beverage and enjoy some good company.
10:30 AM Longhouse Grounds Plant Walk (with Stephanie)
Explore the Longhouse grounds with an eye toward the Standing People who share the space with us. We will meet and identify a number of plant species growing around the site and see what we can learn about them and with them.
11:30 AM Growing Up Pagan (with Sebastien, meet at the Community Garden)
At this month's Growing Up Pagan we will be learning about cooking magick while we make sun tea to share with each other and at the OLOTEAS ritual.
12:00 PM GaeaGenesis: Conception & Birth of the Living Earth (with Oberon Zell)
Oberon’s latest and most significant book—GaeaGenesis: Conception & Birth of the Living Earth—has been over 50 years in the making! Since his original “TheaGenesis” vision on Sept. 6, 1970, Oberon has written many articles on Gaea, given countless interviews, talks, and workshops, and created much art (including his signature “Millennial Gaia” statue). He has been collecting and compiling these materials for five decades, with the intention of eventually putting it all into a book. And finally he has!
Profusely illustrated by Oberon and others, this book is simply the most comprehensive presentation ever assembled on the universal age-old paradigm of Mother Earth as the living planet in whose vast body we are cells. This presentation will include readings from the book.
1:30 PM The Tanistry Games (with Caroline)
This will be a trial of games meant to be a challenge of skill, athleticism, and artistry in order to find Lugh’s Tanist (Chief’s Second). The Tanist will be asked to contribute later in ritual and must be 18 or older.
3:00 PM The Lowland Games (with Caroline)
A series of silly, all ages-welcome games meant to inspire, have fun, and bring people together in community. Expect pool noodles, laughter, and more.
4:30 PM Sea Shanty Workshop (with Doc and guests)
Come to learn sing shanties old, recent, and from unlikely sources. This workshop will include the opportunity for members of the community to share songs.
Dinner Break
8:30 PM Ritual: The Sacrifice (with Cascadian Sean Ciall -- skyclad required for all)
We come together for the 20th anniversary, and honor the sacrifice Lugh will be once more making for us. We open the circle, and raise energy in a display of sword, dance, and song before celebrating together around the fire, sharing in cakes and ale, and ending the ritual in community.
This ritual is skyclad (nude) for all participants. No spectators.
PROGRAM DETAILS and DESCRIPTIONS
Sunday, July 24
9:00 AM OLOTEAS Ritual: Deliver Us from Evil Redux (with Stephanie)
In a world full of bad news and bad actors, come together for a morning magical working to draw upon our individual and collective visions of a better world, and create a tool to help us manifest it.
10:00 AM Quaker Pagan Meeting for Worship (with Laura)
Join us for a Sunday meditative workshop to reflect on the weekend. This workshop will combine Quaker and Pagan methods of worship into one. Quakers worship by gathering in silence and inviting the Divine to speak through them. We will begin with a brief orientation for people who have never attended Quaker Meeting for Worship. A circle will be cast in Pagan style, and then we will gather in silence. Participants will be invited to contemplate on the festival of Lughnasadh and share any Divine messages with the assembled.
11:00 AM Young Adult & Occult Discussion (with Abhainn)
At this month's Young Adult & Occult, we will be having a group discussion on what ethics and cultural norms look like in different Pagan belief systems and spiritual spaces, and what that can mean for our own practice.
12:00 PM Shadow Work: Fact & Fiction (with Rich Benack)
Shadow work is increasingly being seen as a part of a magical and spiritual practice. But there is often a lot of confusion and even misinformation on what is shadow work and what the shadow is. In Jungian Psychology, our shadow consists of our repressed weaknesses, shortcomings, and instincts. The shadow often takes our perceived personal weaknesses and projects them on to other people (or entire groups of people). The shadow can be the seat of our creativity or a vulnerability that can be exploited during psychic attacks.
This workshop will cover:
1) Understanding our shadow
2) Common fallacies about the Shadow & Shadow Work
2) Why we should do shadow work
3) What is 'Projection' and why is it bad?
4) Learning to connect with our shadow
There will also be a guided visualization exercise to help you respond if you get triggered or overcome with a shadow based emotional reponse.
Rich Benack is a retired Air Force Intelligence and Counter Terrorism Officer. I am a Registered Hypnotherapist, a Certified Master NLP Practitioner and a Licensed Private Investigator.
1:00 PM Sacred Drumming Through Bodhran (with Doc)
Exploration of the five major drumming patterns used frequently in Celtic music as a means of connecting to drumming for personal healing, ancestral exploration, and ecstatic ritual.
2:00 Kids' Popsicle Party (with the Magickal Miscreants, Outdoor Kitchen)
Join us for our annual kid's popsicle party and outdoor kid's games, while the parents pack up!
3:00 PM Closing Circle (with Jayson and OLOTEAS, Stone Circle)
Time to reflect on the weekend and say farewell, until we meet again.
